Has any body been following the story on the Harding Theater very closely.

Mon, February 7, 2005 - 8:16 PMIt's a fight between two different visions of what that space can be used for. Jim Siegel, Ross Mirkarimi and local merchants fighting to preserve the theater and possibly make it a mixed-use community/retail space versus Joe O'Donoghue and the Residential Builder's Association who want to demolish it and build condos.
The next action is a hearing on the demolition permit at the Board of Supes meeting on Feb. 15th at 2pm.

Mon, February 7, 2005 - 9:35 PMThanks, I am worried that the devoleopers are going to use something that would be like the "theater lofts" in the lower Haight as thier out, were there is no theater any more, just the shell. -

The theater is in jeopardy again. Developer's plan to raze the back portion to build their condos.
