Are you aware that your neighbors at 1530 McAllister
have been served Ellis Act Eviction notices?
Please join and help stop predatory real estate agents from buying buildings
and profiting at the loss of the entire neighborhood.
This is not an owner move-in eviction. This is two people, Elba Borgen
and Laura Rogers, buying and emptying a building, taking it off the rental
market, and selling it for a huge profit as fast as they can.
Our building is made up of a very diverse bunch of people Ñ in age, race
and sexuality. This is the same diversity that makes San Francisco such a vibrant,
amazing city to live in. Many of us are long-term tenants, up to 30 years. If it can
happen to seniors living in their homes for over 25 years, it can happen to you.
Please help us, and others like us across the city, save our homes.
What can I do, you ask? Contact the Board of Supervisors, the Mayor,
and the newspapers. Contact our landlords. Tell all of them that it is not
ok for this to be happening in our city!
